Case Studies << GO BACKBoard Development Client Profile: A foundation established in 1999 to build economic self-sufficiency for women and girls in Wyoming. Problem: The board needed help with building a shared vision for the future, long range strategic planning and training for new members who were passionate yet inexperienced with effective nonprofit governance. Solution: NewLevel group designed a full day board workshop to clarify leadership roles and fiduciary responsibilities, explore organizational values, mission and vision, and brainstorm a long range plan to take the organization to the next level. Results: Foundation leaders came away with a shared vision and a clearer strategic plan. As a result of their efforts, they are taking action to move forward with the goal of significantly increasing their endowment to $2 million by 2010. They are also refining their existing vision statement and developing improved communications materials. What the Client Said: “Thank you so, so much for all your hard work and for making Friday such a productive and effective day for our Board and for me.” |
